Jon Schickedanz

Jon is president and founder of The Alliance Labs has been selling, managing, and producing creative projects for Fortune 100 industries for the past two decades.

Jon began his career at 15 cooking for Jesuit priests at John Carroll University. He attended Carnegie Mellon University studying Music Theater and History. In the 90’s he traveled around the world as a music director writing, performing and teaching at world renowned venues including The Second City, Cesar’s Palace, The Café Royal – London, and Boom Chicago – Amsterdam.

After retiring from a full-time life in music, Jon began his career in media where he developed and managed brand experiences for Nokia, AllState, Starwood, Ace Hardware, Alfred Angelo, Jimmy Johns, Hilton, Embassy, Double Tree, Marriott, and dozens more.

In 2015 he founded The Alliance Labs. The mission of the labs was to solve a persistent problem with the creative technology community; How does an ambitious beginner get experience as a digital professional, but get that experience without a job? Since its launching in 2015, the mentors and residents of TAL have worked with dozens of companies and organizations providing web & app development, UX/UI design, mar-com consulting and digital strategy, all while training and mentoring talented young adults for full-time careers in creative technology.

Jon has spoken and lectured extensively about sales, business development, account and brand management and development throughout Chicagoland including TechWeek-Chicago, the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, DePaul University, IC Stars, and Columbia College.
